Although I made good money at the age of 4 selling mud pie sculptures to the neighbors, it wasn’t until much later in life that I found a better outlet for artistic expression when I discovered the joy and freedom of photography.

When I view the world through the viewfinder, with all other distractions temporarily forgotten, I feel totally immersed in the colors, moods and impressions of the natural world. Familiar objects change into a new and altered world in macro photography or take on new characteristics when various kinds of light change the mood and even shape of a scenic image.

Photography is something of an escape and personal pleasure, but also for me creates a strong desire to share those places and moments of beauty that are never repeated precisely the same way twice.
